BASEMENT | A new venue for New York located under Knockdown center

BASEMENT, a brand new venue, launches this May underneath the main hall of Knockdown Center. The newly designed and literally underground room will be New York City’s new home for top and up-and-coming techno talent from all over the world.

Opening May 10 with a performance from Rebekah, and DVS1 the following night, basement will host events every Friday and Saturday night. Other artists to play the venue will include Aurora Halal, Etapp Kyle, Fiedel, FJAAK, Function, Headless Horseman, Justin Cudmore, Katie Rex, Luke Slater, Newa, Silent Servant, Somewhen, Tin Man, Tommy Four Seven, Vatican Shadow and Volvox, plus the NYC debuts of 999999999, Fabrizio Lapiana, Shdw & Obscure Shape, and Shlomo.

BASEMENT will feature special events from STAUB, Unsound Festival, and will be the new home to the Wrecked party series. Additionally, basement will host various workshops with performing artists, and release podcasts from those playing the space with details to be released soon.

Keeping with European club tradition, basement will feature a state-of-the-art, Funktion-One -sound system, and a custom lighting rig throughout the venue. All events will be 21+, and attendees will be required to adhere to a set of house rules, including no photo/video, and a safer space policy.
